To catch a "Brookie"

This weekend I went on a short camping trip to Pisgah forest. The next morning my friend and I embarked on a mission to catch the native Brook trout near lower falls near the Blue Ridge Parkway. The Brook trout has vibrantly colored spot along its sides and on its belly. They blend in super well and are quite small. Catching them requires you to be fairly good at casting in tight spaces and under fallen trees. Fortunately we found a relatively deep hole with a steady current going through it. We pulled three Brook trout from this spot and we continued on. Check out the pictures and notice the colored spots on its sides, they are very fascinating!
